Lydia Taylor is a born and raised Kansas Citian and has built a strong connection and social media presence within her community.
Lydia has experience working with many of the KC sports teams you know and love (Royals, Mavericks, KU, KCWOSO, and the BIG 12). Whether it’s side-line reporting, in-stadium hosting, or planning and supporting events benefiting local community organizations, she is establishing a personality and voice rooted in her passion for her city.

First concert you ever went to?
This is very Kansas City of me! My first concert was Tech N9ne at the Midland Theater. My best friends and I went together in high school and had a great time!
Something listeners would be surprised to know about you?
I love to cook! Making dinner for my husband and me is one of my favorite activities. Most of my social media channels are cooking videos. I love trying out new recipes!
Favorite Royals Player?
This is a hard question. I’m a die-hard Royals fan. My first favorite player across all sports growing up was Mike Sweeney. Currently, how can you not love Bobby Witt Jr?
Favorite Chiefs player?
This might be a funny answer to some of you, but Coach Andy Reid! I know he’s not a player (lol obviously) but I just love Andy! I had the pleasure of meeting him and his wife. They are so kind and fun! But obviously, Patrick Mahomes!
Favorite local charity?
Answering the Call is an organization close to my heart. Ronnie, the founder, is a dear friend, and the mission of ATC is so wonderful. They provide financial support to first responders’ families who are going through a difficult time.
How long have you lived in Kansas City?
Born and raised, baby! I grew up in Overland Park and attended St. Thomas Aquinas and then the University of Kansas (Rock Chalk). My husband and I live in Johnson County now! We love it here.
What is your ideal weekend in KC?
You’ll normally find me at a KC Current match. CPKC Stadium is my happy place, and weekends spent there are my favorite. I also love spending time with my girlfriends; I have such a great group of friends and family, and I cherish fun times with them!
Any pets?
No pets…..yet 🙂 I grew up with a chocolate lab, Champ. He was the best boy in the word. My in-laws have the cutest Cockapoo, Ollie and we love to spend time with him!
Favorite restaurant in KC?
So many good ones, but I’d have to say Farina. That is always my birthday dinner request!
